091/ AMA: Your Spring Styling Questions - Part 1

Transitional workwear & outerwear + moving away from black + shoes, shoes, shoes!

Thank you to everyone who submitted a question to last week’s AMA chat thread! I received about 30 questions, 13 of which I’ll be answering in this newsletter, and the remainder in Part 2 (coming soon, watch this space).

Before I dive in, as the purpose of this series is to answer your style questions, I wanted to get your thoughts on the AMA format which works best for you. So far, I’ve tinkered with long form Q&As as well as live chat threads, and there are strengths and drawbacks to both. I welcome any comments and suggestions.

“Any recommendations for casual spring jackets other than trenches?”

Good news, there are a lot of genres to choose from including leather, denim, bomber, and utility! The style I’m most enjoying lately is the trench-parka hybrid, which blends together characteristics of the classic tan cotton trench and the nylon waterproof parka:

I quickly tried on the Zara men’s parka in-store. This is the S/M and I’m 5’6”. It’s long!
