I’ve tried over the past year to overhaul my closet. I feel like I keep buying the same things - everything feels business casual. 1/2 my closet is farm wear (own and operate a dairy farm) and the other half is my “fancy clothes” which really scream business casual. I’m hoping this series will help me figure out how to bring some pizzazz into my closet. I am ready to purge...
I’m sorry I missed this comment, I see it was a couple of days after my dental surgery and I was probably out of it 🤣. Did you have a chance to read the post from today? I actually mentioned people who keep buying the same things! Let me know if it helps!
Happy New Year! I have been quiet here, but I'll be back carefully reading the newsletters I missed. I am gutted I couldn't share any outfits on the thread as I was (and still am) in the middle of nowhere in France living the countryside/monastic life.
I am very much excited about that series! I am curious about what you define as foundational pieces because it might differ from people to people or am I completely wrong on that one?
Bonne année, Emmanuelle! I mean, middle of nowhere France sounds really peaceful and amazing to me?
Yes, everyone’s foundational pieces can or may be different. It’s mostly everyone will have a jean or two, but it’s the cut, style, colour, wash, etc…that will be different depending you, your needs and your lifestyle!
Merci Irene! It would be peaceful without my lovely, cute but naughty nephew and niece. Ahaha. The boy is 4 1/2 and follows me everwhere because he needs auntie to play with him forever (his words, not mine😂) meanwhile my niece is 5 months old and she doesn't want to be put on anything else than people's arms. Otherwise, it's a dream to be there 😂.
I see. I'll be looking forward to your piece like I said already. I'll dig into your other pieces about editing one's wardrobe as I am discovering that I have clothes that I am emotionally attached to, even when in shambles, but refuse to take away.
I'm so excited about this series! I'm currently in a very rare place of not-freaking-out about my closet, but I also recognize that I could use a calculated edit to make space for some foundational pieces that I'm missing.
When it sinks in that I’m writing for an already expert audience like you and Rachel, I kinda panic! I hope you will find my thoughts helpful for your calculated edit. I would love some feedback from you about that towards the end! Happy new year, friend!
Hello Irene! I’m new her and excited to start this journey too! I am looking forward to figuring out my closet, and getting up the nerve to let of of pieces that I have an emotional attachment to and pieces that I bought because they looked good on someone else but not for my body shape.🤦♀️
Hi Patricia, I’m sorry I missed this comment, I see it was a few days after my dental surgery and I zoned out! Did you have a chance to read part 2 of my closet edit piece for some guidance on this?
My Irene addiction just got stronger. we did not think this was possible so ready for this ride! 😘

Awwww -- as if!! 😘
Looking forward to this very much.
Ok 😁I thought it was the Goodwill pile. Was stressing out.
Nooooooo!
I wish there was a mix combo between Vestiare, TRR & ThreadUp 🙏🏻🫣
Hmmm newbie here. Pile 3 is donate and Pile 4 discard? Which pile would resell fall into 2 3/4? 😁
Resale is the donate pile!
I'm very excited about this series! Thanks for offering this, Irene!
Hi Lisa, I’m so sorry I missed this comment! I hope you’re finding the series useful!
No worries at all, Irene! I love your content and am learning a lot along the way! Grateful.
