Irene- I enjoyed seeing your past month’s looks as always. I truly appreciate you addressing the gifting point here. What I have found in this crazy online world is that I can get really excited about someone’s IG or Substack for awhile but inevitably they tend to start partnering with brands and I lose sight of the reason I ever followed them in the first place. I think it is critical to keep your through line. It is your personal style that we all came here to see and admire. I thank you for knowing that and keeping it real. That’s why I think it is vital we all do our part by subscribing to people’s Substack and paying for their authenticity. Keep being you! We love it.

Hi Misti, I really appreciate your honesty here and sharing frankly what's important to you as a reader. As a consumer of content myself, I share your feelings about trying to sift through what is genuine POV/style advice and what is, on balance, there because of partnerships. I think we can all feel when something doesn't feel authentic, but I say "on balance" because even it is partnership, the creator could genuinely like the product, or it provides value to the reader in another way.

I guess it comes down to what one wants their publication/instagram to be. I've been thinking about this a lot because on March 5, it'll be one year since I started In Moda Veritas! Reflecting on the year I've spent on this eco-system has provided clarity about what I want this publication to be. And for the most part, I consider it an extension of what I do with private clients, which is to share my fashion and style knowledge and provide objective style advice.

Your ability to transform an outfit using your lever system is bar none! I’m scribbling notes to my future self from this.

Thanks for the great content! Quick question on the Zara khaki pants - I don’t see a link. Would you pls share? Thanks! [Re: this caption: just tried these 100% cotton Zara khakis on and they have a nice weight]

Would love a link too, looking for similar pants too. And loved your last piece on foundational wardrobe and the will not wear section. I don’t think i had ever seen someone say jeans are not for them and made me realize that mostly they are not for me either… even if I have been trying to force it since my teens, I’ve always felt more comfortable in other pants and skirts!

Miriam, I was just like you until I “met” Tibi’s Sid’s and Brancusi last year :)

I love my Sids and have been considering the indigo Brancusi on sale but worry it is too low rise - what are your thoughts? I am 5’3, 101 lbs, slightly longer legs ( I would take the longer version).

Hi Josanne, I know this comment was meant for Boromalia, but if my long torso may add my two cents...the Brancusis were way too low rise for me in TTS and I had to size up so that the waist band wouldn't pinch. Quinn's OTOH (basically high rise Brancusis) fit TTS. Sids fit TTS!

Never mind! Decided I have enough denim! Did buy the sculpted cotton skirt though when I went back to look 🙃

Haha! Good choice!

After seeing Irene’s comment, I am now I’m thinking that I’m probably referring to the Quinn’s. I am only 5’ 1” but heavier than you Josanne. I am a size 27 (typically a size 4) but wear 25 Petite in the Sid’s (they sit at my belly button and are the perfect length for flats/ sneakers. I’m pretty sure that’s not the intended fit :) I take the Quinn’s (or Brancusi - unsure because I got them second hand) in the same size 25 and they fit pretty well and feel comfortable.

If you measure the rise, I’ll know!

10”

And I’m in size 26 not 25 in the mystery Brancusi / Quinn. Have both the patent and the black denim - same 10 inch rise
