Happy to muse through whatever inspires you if you have bandwidth to share that type of content while you're supporting your family and not 'getting dressed'. Get well soon Papa 🙏
Hope your dad is on the mend soon. It is a privilege to be able to care for your parents—-that really resonated for me. Sending lots of positive thoughts your way. And thank you for the lovely content ♥️
Sending love to you and your family 💗 it really is a gift, if a difficult one, to be able to be present, loving, and capable of offering care for those we love when they are in need.
Enjoy the time with your dad. I’m glad you have the bandwidth to be in this moment and enjoy him.💙💙💙
Also, what’s the appeal of your Margiela Jeans. And do you use them with a T + sneaks for drop off with the boys or are they “fancy jeans?” Whatever that means.
Asking from a curious place. I like their look and Rachel @HeyMrsSolomon loves hers.
I probably wear the jeans more casually than "dressed up". It's an easy jean to pair with tees or a sweater.
The first time I saw them was on Amy Smilovic, and I admit I was influenced! But, not without reason. I think Ive written before that anytime I see I high waisted jean that's not skin tight around my hips, I immediately take a closer look (after a decade of not finding that cut on the market). It's the shape that i feel best in, and the wash and design made it that much more interesting.
They’re a slightly different shape but the sids fit the bill! I already had the Margiela and I’m not a big Jean wearer so I didn’t need both but I’m a fan of the Sid!
It might just be the lighting but I really like how the color of the Dries sneakers in the outfit with the Tibi miniskirt are very similar to the skins tone on your legs. Sneakers rarely elongate the leg but because of the similar color between legs/sneakers I think they’re achieving that here.
I’m so sorry to hear about your dad Irene, I’m madly impressed you are able to put coherent thoughts together and continue to inspire us readers. I adore the way you recreated The Row look.
Layering, you do it so well! But please help: I love the look of a buttoning shirt under a sweater, but it makes me feel antsy. All those folds! Am I doing it wrong, wrong proportions of shirt to sweater, or are there some tips for fitting this situation better? Thanks!
The bench ☠️
Love the way you layered that dress!

It’s firm colours ;). Sending you a big hug, HMS!
Beautiful looks, Irene!
I hope that your dad has a speedy recovery. It's so hard when your parents get old. Sending you love and hugs!
Thank you, Tiia :)

How would you compare there to the Tibi Sid’s? They both seem substantial to me
They’re a slightly different shape but the sids fit the bill! I already had the Margiela and I’m not a big Jean wearer so I didn’t need both but I’m a fan of the Sid!
Speedy recovery to your dad!!!
I was playing with the Row layered look. 100% it’s the proportion and that’s what came to
Mind when I saw it . Mind sharing the belt you used to tie up the grey sweater? Thx
Thank you, Orit! The belt is an old COS belt but I linked to alternatives I found on Etsy and Philip Lim!
I’m so sorry to hear about your dad. ❤️
On a lighter note, each of these outfits are gorgeous! Love how creative you are.
Thank you, Xue!

Thank you, Sita!
Yes, you’re right! I have to try it to test it but I think the eye would fight to move between bright blue and the white sneakers….
