Fabulous post! I adore the oversized, asymmetrical silhouettes, but struggle a bit with how to wear them on my hourglass, 5’3” busty, size 18 frame.

But what inspiration! Thanks for sharing.

I love how everyone has individual style... and the pairing of loose pants and shirts is the **chef's kiss**. Thanks for sharing. Lots of inspiration for the fall.

So much inspiration! Thank you for taking the time to photograph these cool outfits! I love what's going on with the proportions in so many of these looks. Even though the chosen materials look quite traditional (cotton, linen etc), they look perfectly modern when the silhouettes are more experimental.

Would be so curious to hear your thoughts on if tourists should dress modestly/ditch the leggings!

Hi Melinda! I'm going to talk about this in my next What I'm Wearing since I basically wore long skirts/dresses the whole time I was in Japan. In short, I don't think tourists need to or should dress modestly, it's a personal choice!

It was jam packed with gems! I love the idea of watching style evolve over time from a fixed location. Not chasing trends, but waiting to see what strolls by day to day and year over year. Fascinating!

Live the style found in Japan! I’d feel right at home, as I prefer to cover up and wear as little sunscreen as possible. Yes, I’m often hot and am not super disappointed when fall makes it way!
